Christmas Peril

If you watch kids’ Christmas shows (and I confess, I do) then it’s apparent that Christmas is perpetually vulnerable. Maybe Christmas will come… but there’s a good chance it won’t. It’s always in peril and needs to be SAVED.
Who is going to save Christmas?!
Somebody help save Christmas!
What will we do if no one can save Christmas!?
Christmas must be saved from wizards, blizzards, fog, Jack Frost, the Burgermeister, the Grinch and a host of other natural and man-made matters of disaster.
Check the calendar. December 25: Christmas Day. The only thing that needs to be saved is energy to accomplish all the things that need to be done. A Grinch is the least of my concerns. The only things that can put Christmas in peril are procrastination and an economic slowdown.
